Visa & other requirements to Travel to Kenya

Who needs a VISA to enter Kenya?

Each eligible traveller is required to apply for an eTA before starting travel.

The Kenyan government stated that all foreign nationals would be able to visit Kenya without a visa beginning January 1, 2024. The visa-free policy applies to people entering Kenya for vacation or commercial purposes, and stays are limited to 90 days.
As part of the visa-free policy, the government unveiled a new electronic travel authorization (eTA) system to replace the current eVisa system for short-term travel.

Travelers who are on the exempt visa country lists, still need to apply for an eTA.

How to apply for Kenya’s Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA)

The Government of Kenya has made “https://www.etakenya.go.ke/en/”website available as a secure platform for the purpose of allowing visitors to submit information and apply for an eTA. eTA applications must be completed only through this official website or the “Kenya Travel Authorisation” official mobile application and must be done for each individual who intends to travel to Kenya.

All visitors who intend to travel to the Republic of Kenya must have an approved Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before the start of their journey.
